_____________________________________ Over the summer Mitch, Heath, & Kevin stayed healthy. Running the Sunset Ramblers 125B and 16-24 series was a fun series to watch. Through out the summer each one of the boys had there on or off day. At the end of the season, Heath would find himself setting in the 3rd spot in the series in both classes. Although at times Kevin would find himself up front, he still fell short of Heath by taking 4th in both classes. Coming in 5th in both classes is wear Mitch found himself. Seasoned vet, Jared Young would be the local Class winner in the 125B. Congratulation to Jared on his championship and to Mitch, Heath, & Kevin for placing in the top 5 and for being in the top 5 your first B season. Congratulation is in order to local quad rider Brent Richardson for winning the small bore quad class championship as well. McWaters Wins World Finals Congratulations to Rick McWaters for winning the AMA Prostar Hot Rod Cruiser World Finals in Gainesville Florida. Coming in 2nd for the rained out season openers and winning the World Finals is How McWaters finished out his season. Blasting his Harley Davidson Superglide to a whopping time of 9.57 seconds and a speed of 139 mph, I think you could say it is the world’s fastest production twin cam Superglide Harley Davidson. Although Rick won the finals, he fell 6 points short of the Championship. To let my readers know, that is a remarkable feet. It took a factory backed machine and rider to be able to beat Rick. Terry Reed built McWaters machine but, Terry is a local shop that is not a factory and they do not operate off of unlimited funds. It took unlimited funds from Yamaha to be able to stop McWaters on his Harley. Mark Underwood fought his was back to pass Rick in the points over the last 3 races of the season on that factory machine. Congratulations to both riders for making an interesting season, and your final finishing spots. Arena Cross Season Openers The season openers for the www.americanmx.com arena cross gave Mitch, Heath and Kevin a definite eye opener. Being on a little tighter track and with some really fast riders, the boys found there self’s being bounced around like a pinball. All though the weekend was a rough one, they come out of the arena with a smile. The comment on the way home was “a bad weekend of racing is better than a good day at work”.
